The Scream Queen's Blog!

Date: July 27, 2011 // Time: 2:15AM MST Now playing: Demonoir by 1349I was going to write this as a status update on Facebook, but I couldn't stop writing and it turned out much longer than what I can post on Facebook or anything else! So here is my blog I haven't updated in FOREVER! It's amazing how much energy you can feel beneath lyrics of a song, or feel through a song in general... I'm listening to 1349 (one of my most favorite black metal artists). I'm reading the lyrics at the same time, which in a way, it gives their music a different experience almost while you're listening... I know Frost (drummer, also is the drummer for Satyricon) wrote the song Hellfire... Which is the one I just listened to before putting on their Demonoir album. It took me back to when I interviewed him last year in May (2010)... |

Date: October 23, 2010 // Time: 9:30PM MST Now playing: Demonoir by 1349It's definitely been a while since I've updated this. It's been incredibly busy for me ever since I uploaded the first blog post (click here to read!)... Since then, my voice did come back for a week or two (it's currently out again) and I was finally able to get my interview in with Chris Adler of Lamb of God, as some of you have probably already seen and read... If not, click here to read! :-)

Date: August 30, 2010 // Time: 2:00AM MST Now playing: N/A by N/AHey everyone, I'm not quite sure how to open this first blog since I haven't written a "real" blog in over year. Right now I can't sleep, so I'm writing this and listening to some Lamb of God circa "As The Palaces Burn" -- my favorite album by them. As some of you know, who follow me on Twitter or are friends with me on Facebook, I was scheduled to interview Chris Adler (Lamb of God) last Wednesday. I was really looking forward to the interview, especially since LoG are one of my most favorite bands, right under Pantera! I was up nearly all night because my mind kept racing with questions I wanted to add to the list, usually my best questions come out from my mind, which is convoluted chaos at that time of night. |

Ok, now that I've
gotten a little sleep, I can actually write something I've been wanting to write
ever since I've gotten home from the HELLYEAH/Buckcherry show Thursday night.
I'll have to say, it was a dream come true to have the opportunity to interview
Vinnie Paul... It was exciting and gave me the biggest sense of accomplishment
I've ever had... The interview went good, the only thing is that I felt that
Vinnie was holding back a lot... I guess I can understand why given what he's
been through; hopefully next time I interview him, maybe he'll be a little more
trusting and open up more...
I've
had so many interviews lately, especially over October! It's definitely been an
amazing ride! I did Airbourne about a month ago, which I'll
have that interview uploaded by the weekend. I also interviewed singer Warrel Dane of Nevermore earlier this month,
who by the way, is an incredibly cool guy. One of the coolest I've ever
interviewed! He's very down to earth and has a hilarious sense of humor. He also
put on an incredible performance!! ...
